School Crisis Team Assessments

Another Safe Havens first in the field is the crisis response and recovery team audit developed by Safe Havens. Dr. Sony Shepherd, who coordinated crisis response and recovery efforts for all K-20 organizations in the State of Georgia while serving with the School Safety Project of the Georgia Emergency Management Agency – Office of the Governor, developed the process.

Combining off-site and on-site evaluation of documents, interviews with key personnel and other tailored assessment approaches, Dr. Shepherd can help school officials thoroughly evaluate their crisis response and recovery teams and plans before an incident as well as identify any significant gaps that may exist. We then assess multiple programmatic control areas and provide you with the current state of the safety program and practices, and provide prioritized, actionable recommendations for improvement. A detailed written report well as a professionally filmed and edited concise video report is provided to the client.
