Creating Safe Havens – Proven Techniques to Prevent Campus Weapons Assaults
Can be presented by Michael Dorn or Russell Bentley

Originally developed by the presenter for the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference, and later as an advanced two day trainer for IACP, this session outlines the proven techniques that can be used to prevent the majority of campus weapons assaults while dispelling the common media myths relating to the topic.

Intended audiences:

  • School administrators
  • School mental health professionals
  • School security officers
  • Public safety personnel involved with school safety
  • School board members and elected officials

“It is clear that Michael Dorn is an expert in this field and through his experience and teaching, he will affect the lives of many students.  We have the opportunity to prevent the spreading of violence, an issue of growing concern here in Israel.  I recommend his manuscript be translated into Hebrew and that Mr. Dorn be invited to Israel to lecture and teach”

Howard Silverwater, Superintendent
Division of Identification and Forensic Science
National Police Headquarters
Jerusalem, Israel
